Rotary is organized at club, district and international levels to carry out its program of service around the world. Rotarians are members of their club, which is a member of the global association known as Rotary International. Each club elects its own officers and enjoys considerable autonomy within the framework of its constitution and bylaws.

Clubs are grouped into Rotary districts, each led by a District Governor who is an officer of Rotary International The Don Mills club is one of 55 clubs in District 7070. This District extends from Alliston in the Northwest corner, south to Toronto and the east to Belleville and Picton. There are many active clubs in the towns outside Toronto and another 24 in Toronto. The District is led by the District Governor, who in turn is supported by Assistant District Governors and District Committees

Past Rotary International President spoke to guests of the Don Mills Rotary Club

 

In May 2010, Past President of Rotary International, Wilf Wilkinson was a special guest speaker at our Don Mills Rotary Club and drew a large crowd. Hew spoke about Rotary's role in International Affairs and his personal experiences with Rotary, globally.

Dictionary Project 2010- Poetry Prize Presentation

  

Students we given their own dictionary by our club. To encourage literacy a poetry contest was also run. The winning students were thrilled, and their teachers are very welcoming and appreciative. The student on the left with the book is Keyen Li, and the girl on the right is Rachel Yim. Grades 4/5, Blacksmith Public School, Toronto.
Joined by 140 guests, we celebrated Passion For Fashion on March 26th, 2009, with keynote speaker Mark Dailey from City TV News and Emcee Russell Smith from xyyz.ca. Guests also participated in an extensive Silent Auction, and enjoyed a Men's Fashion Show. The proceeds of $5100 from this event will support Prostate Cancer Research at the Princess Margaret Hospital.
