Thank
You
Good
Afternoon all
I didn't want to send this too early for fear I woke anyone. [Haha]
I hope everyone has recovered from our exhausting journey.
Well, for those of you who couldn't join us, all we can say is you missed
one heck of an event. What a Garage sale it was!
And for those of you who did join us in such spirit, commitment and
enthusiasm I can't express how much I appreciate everything you did
to bring this event to deliverance.
Thanks so much again to Maureen's family for everything, Greg and Chantele
for your continued time, support and input to ensuring everything went
off without a hitch as well as being our event photographer, each and
every one of our spouses who so generously donated their valuable weekend
time yesterday to help us out, Joe and the staff at Delmoral's for their
consistent hospitality and assistance over the past six months, and
Mark and his staff at Trull's for their unrelenting co-operation and
generosity in allowing us to host the event on their fabulously, highly
visible property, and then of course there is all of our perspective
members and volunteers that came out to support our efforts on both
Friday and Saturday. Some at such an ungodly hour. THANK YOU!
And of course to the club, to all of you, your ongoing, unfailing, optimistic,
positive attitudes that got this event off the ground and running, in
spite of the few hiccups we encountered - you didn't miss a beat!
What a fabulous team event, day, and fundraiser it was. While there
are always things to learn by reflecting on the planning and execution
process, I have to say I am thrilled at the outcome from all perspectives.
It truly represents the power, skills, spirit and drive of our team,
being the first fundraiser we have executed in the past five years.
It undoubtedly created some tremendous visibility for not only Rotary
but the Don Mills Rotary Club, it became the catalyst to us building
some new and reinforcing some existing community partnerships/relationships
that we otherwise couldn't have done it without, and of course, it raised
some of the funds we have committed to for the Habitant for Humanity
project to celebrate Rotary's Centenary of SUCCESS!
Thanks you, each and everyone of you for such a fun and successful Garage
Sale. Together Everyone Achieves More!
